The AC-130 Viper

The High-Pressure Cryotherapy (HPC) system used in our treatment rooms, built for precise, targeted CO₂ cooling of one defined area at a time.

The AC-130 Viper high-pressure CO₂ cryotherapy system

Revolutionizing pain management

The AC-130 Viper delivers high-pressure CO₂ to a specific area for a few minutes at a time. A first visit usually lasts about 10–20 minutes including the consultation, and follow-ups are often shorter, and many patients find the treatment tolerable. It is designed to cool the skin quickly and precisely, which may help calm inflammation and support comfort and movement. Results vary.

510(k) testing for the AC-130 Viper is scheduled to begin in late 2026. The device has not been cleared or approved by the FDA.

Why the Viper exists: Greg's story

I'm a chronic pain patient myself, so I know what many of our patients are going through. During spine surgery, poor positioning on the operating table left me with a severe bilateral brachial plexus injury, a serious injury to the nerves that run from the neck into both arms.

I've had multiple surgeries since then to help reduce my pain and regain mobility in my arms, and I have two implanted neuromodulators to help manage the pain. The injury forced me into early retirement.

The silver lining is that New York Cryogen was conceived. It began as a hobby, treating other people with high-pressure cryotherapy, and it grew into the full pain-management practice we run today. I believe this approach has a great deal to offer people living with pain and inflammation, and I wanted to do more than offer it in a single room.

Over time I developed and refined my own techniques for delivering high-pressure cryotherapy. That work led to the AC-130 Viper, a system designed around control: adjustable pressure, rotating nozzles, laser guidance and skin-temperature sensing, so the clinician can treat one defined area precisely. It felt like my calling, and my duty, to carry this technology further, to as many people as I can reach, in this country and around the world.
