Hand Pain
Hand and wrist pain, including carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger, can make typing, gripping, and everyday tasks uncomfortable.

Numbness, tingling, aching in the wrist, or a finger that catches when you bend it can show up from work, hobbies, or no clear reason at all.
About hand pain
Carpal tunnel syndrome involves pressure on a nerve that passes through the wrist. Trigger finger happens when a tendon in the finger or thumb catches or sticks as it moves. Both are common and both can come on gradually.
Common symptoms
- Aching, tingling, or numbness in the hand or fingers
- Wrist pain, often worse at night or after repetitive use
- Weaker grip or dropping things
- A finger or thumb that catches, clicks, or feels stiff in the morning
Common causes
- Repetitive hand and wrist motion, such as typing or tool use
- Gripping, vibration, or sustained wrist positions
- Inflammation in the tendons or tissues around the wrist or finger joints
- Other conditions such as arthritis, which a healthcare provider can help sort out
How High-Pressure Cryotherapy (HPC) may help
High-Pressure Cryotherapy (HPC) uses high-pressure carbon dioxide (CO₂) to rapidly cool the skin over a specific treatment area. For hand and wrist pain, the treatment area is the sore part of the hand, wrist, or finger. HPC may help with pain and inflammation in that area. It does not release a compressed nerve or straighten a locked finger, and results vary. The recommended regimen is usually 4 to 5 sessions, then we reassess together. HPC does not release a compressed nerve or free a stuck tendon. It treats the sore area, and for some people it may help manage pain and inflammation so hands feel more comfortable.
Every treatment begins with a free consultation. Typical treatment takes about 3–6 minutes per area. HPC is not a substitute for medical care and does not replace a diagnosis.

Frequently asked questions
Do you treat carpal tunnel and trigger finger?
Yes. We treat hand and wrist pain, including pain linked to carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger, and we only treat if we think we can help. HPC may help with pain and inflammation in the treated area. Results vary, and a free consultation is the first step.
I had carpal tunnel surgery. Can I be treated?
Only with clearance from your surgeon, and not sooner than 10 days after surgery. We never treat over an incision or wound.
